Jack Afro Videos in MTV Japan Top 10!

I’ve just been told that the two videos ‘Chick-a-dee’ and ‘Suzie’ I directed for the wonderful Jack Afro are both currently in the MTV Japan Top Ten! The boys seem to be causing a bit of hoo-har out there with a recent tour and debut album topping the charts! Both the videos were shot in a single day, due to the bands hectic schedule, followed by a brilliant night out with the boys at legendary bar Oporto on Call Lane, Leeds. Following this great news we hope to create more ‘Video master works’ as singer Mark Crossley put it, and take the UK by storm next! If you haven’t already, check out the band over at MySpace.

Video Linking

I’m going to link to all the videos I possibly can, however, due to me not always having access to the final, full quality copies of many productions I work on, I am going to provide youtube links with the films that have been posted by the directors/producers. I hope that this doesn’t appear cheap and nasty to you, but until I manage to get at least DVD quality copies from certain people there is no way I can host quicktime video files on my site. As for my showreel, even though it is available at youtube.com/clarkfilms it will always be available here in quicktime format. ;)

Just out of interest the quicktime files I host are encoded with Sorenson Spark 3 codec. I opted for this codec because, even though codecs such as H.264 surpass it in quality and minimizing file sizes, Sorenson Spark 3 is the most widely accepted codec amongst all popular operating systems.

Lovely.

Get ready for more full length video links...

Website Launch!

Hello and welcome to AdamConlon.com! To celebrate the launch I have cut together a new showreel (well new if you were one of the lucky lucky people to see the previous ones)! Hopefully over the next few weeks there will be a whole load more content added to the site including full length music videos, commercials and short films for viewing rather than just a lame picture that I’m pretty sure you get bored of after about 0.73 seconds viewing time. I’m also going to be adding blog entries with my experiences and thoughts on not just film production and cinematography, but a whole host of whatever is currently running through my brain.

Well, as a first post, I’ll keep it short and sweet...

Welcome to the site!
